Public helps shape Master Plan at recent meetings

Ute Valley Park

The second in a series of public meetings to develop an updated Master Plan for Ute Valley Park was held on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at Eagleview Middle School. Approximately 110 people participated in the meeting.

Information from proposed maps and other ideas generated at the September meeting served as the basis for two alternative plans that were presented at the Nov. 12 meeting. The bulk of the meeting was spent with participants reviewing and responding to the alternatives.

The information gathered from the public during the Sept. 23 meeting is available to review at www.springsgov.com/utevalleymp. Included in the information is ideas groups had for which trails to keep, add or remove. Information on the overall Ute Valley Master Plan process is here.

An open house to review the Draft Master & Management Plan will be held on January 27, 5-7 p.m. at Eagleview Middle School.
